On March 4th 2022, Germany will decide who they will send to Turin from the 6 acts taking part in ‘Germany 12 Points’.
Following on from a disappointing 25th in 2021, and a second consecutive 0 points from the televote, they will be looking to impress viewers this year in Turin.
But which songs will be competing? Here are all the artists taking part tonight.
Malik Harris – ‘Rockstars’
German-American singer Malik Harris is a rising star in Germany. He combines pop music with occasional rap and electronic influences, creating a fresh sound that has been providing him with success since he first appeared on the music scene back in 2019.
‘Rockstars’ was written and produced by Malik, and is currently second in the odds to win the contest. Will we be seeing him in Turin in May? Only time will tell.

Maël & Jonas – ‘I Swear To God’
Maël & Jonas released ‘I Swear To God’ all the way back at the start of October before information about Germany 12 points was even revealed. It is the most-streamed song of this year’s national final, with 2.1 million on Spotify. They’re third in the odds right now, but with a strong performance and with some occasional unpredictable results in the past with German national finals, they could be heading to Italy in May.

Eros Atomus – ‘Alive’
‘Alive’ was the first song confirmed for Germany 12 Points, and is performed by Eros Atomus. Eros is fairly new on the music scene and makes music about hope and having a positive view of the future.
He said this about ‘Alive’:
“The last few years have been a challenge for all of us. But no matter how difficult it was, we all have one thing in common and we should never forget that: It’s great to be alive!”Eros Atomus

Emily Roberts – ‘Soap’
German-British singer Emily Roberts has been making music since the age of 15, and now at 28, she sets her sights on representing Germany at Eurovision 2022 this May.
‘Soap’ is a classic pop song, and wouldn’t sound out of place among current tracks we hear on the radio. Could Emily what Germany are looking for?

Felicia Lu – ‘Anxiety’
Felicia Lu‘s song ‘Anxiety’ is the current leader in the odds to be selected as Germany’s Eurovision entrant, and she’s a favourite with fans too. It’s not the first time she’ll attempt to represent the nation – she came 4th in Unser Song 2017.
Felicia has revamped ‘Anxiety’, and we’ll hear this version in the show tonight.

Nico Suave & Team Liebe – Hallo Welt
‘Hallo Welt’ is the only song of the six competing that features any lines in German, which could end up being a reason why people will vote for it. It can’t be counted out and has been labelled as a potential challenger for the win by some German ESC fans. Could Nico Suave & Team Liebe be heading to Turin? We’ll have to wait and see.
Nico Suave & Team Liebe have changed the lyrics to ‘Hallo Welt’ ahead of tonight’s show, which we’ll hear at the end of all the performances.
