After several years of disappointing results ranging from non-qualification to bottom 5 in the grand final, 2021 marked the first Greek Top 10 result since 2013, when Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis placed 6th in Malmรถ.
Will ERT aim to capitalise from Stefaniaโs success moving forward into 2022? And could Marina Satti go one step further?

Marina Satti is a Greek star with Sudanese roots. Her diverse and multi-cultural upbringing in Crete has very clearly inspired her sound and artistry for today.
Her breakthrough single in 2016 โKoupesโ received notable coverage, and to date has amassed over 25 million views on YouTube. The song is Marinaโs take on a traditional Asia Minor โmaqamโ (meaning: standard) – and the result was extremely interesting.
Fast forward to 2017, and Marinaโs follow-up release brought even more success her way. Mantissa was a summer hit in Greece, the inspiring message of the song conveys hope and perseverance – while the music video sends out a clear message of female empowerment – with an impressive 49 million views to date it is considered one of the biggest Greek hits of the last decade.
In a recent interview with VICE Greece the star hinted at being open to a potential Eurovision participation in the future, but did still raise concerns about whether or not sheโd โfitโ into the contest.
