Söngvakeppnin 2022 Artists and Songs Revealed 🇮🇸

On Saturday 5th February, Iceland revealed the ten Söngvakeppnin 2022 artists and their songs at 20:50 CET, in a televised special by broadcaster RÚV.

The artists and songs taking part are:

Amarosis – Íslenska Útgáfan (Don’t You Know)
Stefán Óli – Ljósið (All I Know)
Haffi Haff – Gía (Volcano)
Stefanía Svavarsdóttir – Hjartað Mitt (Heart of Mine)
Sigga, Beta and Elín – Með Hækkandi Sól
Markéta Irglová – Mögulegt (Possible)
SUNCITY & SANNA – Hækkum Í Botn (Keep It Cool)
Reykjavíkurdætur (Daughters of Reykjavík) – Tökum Af Stað (Turn This Around)
Katla – Þaðan Af (Then Again)
Hanna Mia and The Astrotourists – Séns Með Þér (Gemini)

Söngvakeppnin rules state that songs must be performed in Icelandic during the Semi-Finals, but can switch to English for the Final – hence why some songs have English titles.

Iceland’s National Final, Söngvakeppnin, kicks off on Saturday 26th February with the first semi-final. It will continue on Saturday March 5th with the second semi-final and finally, on Saturday March 12th the final of Söngvakeppnin 2022 will take place and we’ll know Iceland’s Eurovision entry for 2022.
