Ones to Watch

So who are the acts you should keep an eye on? All songs will be looking to make their mark in the competition, but we’ve selected a few below that we believe are going to have fans talking.

Citi Zēni – Eat Your Salad

“Instead of meat, I eat veggies and….” Do we need to say the rest? The song that’s taken the internet by storm, Eat Your Salad gives a new spin to promoting a greener lifestyle with your diet and daily choices. Not only going for the shock value, Eat Your Salad is a very catchy funk-indie song with a load of saxophone riffs to boot. This is sure to grab your attention tonight!

Aminata – I’m Letting You Go

Aminata made waves in Eurovision 2015 with the song Love Injected, the electro song still a huge fan favourite to this day – with many saying it was ahead of its time. She is back in Supernova with a ballad called I’m Letting You Go. Her rich vocal tone is accompanied by strings. Her voice really gets the chance to shine here and the track is made for her to belt out the lyrics during the live performance. However, she will be performing remotely at home this week due to testing positive for COVD-19. We hope Aminata gets well soon.

Patriks Peterson – Can’t Get You Outta My Head

Patriks’ piano-led track with an indie flair has gained a bit of a fanbase going into Supernova. Although not one of the immediate favourites, the high-quality production and catchy chorus of this song has seen fans take note of this one. There is a lot of noise going on in Supernova this year, will something like this stand out among all the craziness?

Bermudu Divstūris – Bad

As we mentioned, there is a lot of noise coming from some of these Latvian songs tonight! Bad is one of the ones that is grabbing fans attention, as one of the highest viewed Supernova 2022 videos on the official YouTube channel, with almost 67k views. A loud EDM pop song, it’s definitely a love or hate moment. You’ll either be jumping out of your seat or cringing behind the sofa. Regardless, you won’t forget it!

Who are you rooting for in Supernova this year? Who do you think is going to Turin? Let us know in the comments!
